RE: Awesome Gaming Moments & Fails
Playing insurgency.
My whole team dies to a combination of a kamikaze knife runner and a well placed rpg. I, being the lone wolf I am, suddenly find myself the only survivor in a seperate building, having been about to flank them. I realize now that I have an army between me and my objective, with only a long range scoped sniper rifle and a suppressed pistol. I alowly crouch around the corner of a balcony and swiftly take out 3 tangos before being spotted. "Flush him out" I hear as I sprint towards the front entrance of the building. I get there just in time to roll a frag into the door as a group of enemies walk in. Boom.
I dont take time to revel in the moment as I sprint once again through the back door. As I suspected, the other enemies have become more cautious, giving me time to flank with my pistol and unload on a group of 4 sorry terrorists. My gun clicks empty as I hear bullets flying past my head from behind so I duck into the building. Now, knowing im all out of cards to play, prepare for a shootout to the death.
My friend is voice chattig me, trying to tell me about enemies around the corner, but by this point ive gone into a silent zen mode. I throw put all basic insurgencty tactics and begin relying on pure reflex to survive, taking out enemies before my friend can even call them. 1,2,5,10. Numbers rack up until my pistol clicks empty with my sights dead on the last enemy I know of. Without hesitation I draw my knife, get lucky and weave under his first shot, and charge at him with the first sound ive made the whole time. With a roar on the mic, I knife down the last enemy and stand in the bloody piles of my dead enemies. I make my way to the objective and cappture it, securing the team redeploy and ultimately soon after, the game.
Ridiculoualy stressful and my heart was beating way too fast. Insurgency my love
